Today I’m sharing a fresh juice recipe that I use quite often. It has a nice balance of sweet, crisp, and earthy flavors. The nutrients in this fresh juice are easily absorbed by the body and provide a potent dose of goodness. 

Fresh Juice Recipe versus Bottled Juice

Opting for fresh juice not only indulges your senses but also promotes optimal health and vitality. Optimal ingredients for this green juice

The best ingredients I’ve found for making a fresh juice recipe are green fruits and vegetables. These provide chlorophyll, which is nutritionally similar to the requirements of our own bloodstream. They often contain less sugars than other ingredients and generally are beneficial for building a healthy immune system. 

  • Cabbage – is recommended for healing the digestive system and balancing hormones.
  • Celery – has been touted by the Medical Medium as the best ingredient for fresh juice recipes. it contains vital salts that help to combat inflammation and viruses within the body.
  • Cucumber – provides much needed hydration and its flavor is mild and easily tolerated. Cucumber promotes health of hair, skin, and nails. 
  • Spinach – is the powerhouse for boosting the immune system and bone health. It contains iron, folate, potassium, protein, and more.
  • Green apples – are known for keeping the body healthy. They contain vitamains A and B plus cuercetin that helps the respiratory system.

Earthy fresh green juice recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 head green cabbage

  • 3 stalks celery

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 cup packed spinach leaves

  • 2 green apples

Directions

  • Wash vegetables and fruit.

  • Cut all except spinach into smaller pieces to fit into juicer. 

  • Put all ingredients through juicer

    6. I did my first juice fast last week an can I tell you I Feel GREAT! My first couple of days were challenging . But I pushed through an my fourth day I had added energy, an pains I had that were in my arm, my neck were completely gone!!! I was going to a chiropractor for the pain!!! I feel truly blessed an my Husband is going on it with me next week! Oh did i mention I also lost 8lbs!!

    9. I am starting today. It is 10:40 am and I had my barleylife juice (made it easier for starting) and yes, coffee, and then I felt weird so I had 1/2″ banana. I hope I can just juice the rest of the day but I have a feeling I will have a little bit blueberries and/or something solid tonight. I am such a wimp. But I am going to really try.

    10. oh thank you, carey. 🙂 Hope I can do this. I have about 70lbs to lose. We had a big chinese buffet yesterday. It reminds me of Joe Cross that said he really binged before his juice fast. haha. Also, I have to prove to my sisters in law that this works and doesnt make you sick but makes you well. They are each at least 275lbs each. So this will be a blessing. I get to see her in ten days.
      Also, I would like your readers to know that besides the ‘sick and tired’ movie, what inspired me also was a netflix movie called, ‘lbs’. so good.

    11. did good until 8pm. I should have gone to bed. Well, I had left over brown and white rice. About a cup. A few cooked squash pieces were mixed in. oh and a few blueberries. Of course the berries are good to have but I was hoping I would only juice for a few days.
      I will try again today.

    12. okay did good yesterday. 3 juice drinks 1 protein drink, finished the blueberries. Oh yeah and one inch of a dumb thing hubby made. He misses having something at night with tea. So he threw together: whole grain oatmeal, pumpkin from can. baked and I had about a one inch piece. I wish he would stop making that stuff. I need to have ONLY piece of fruit or nothing.

      I know I didnt have to eat it but I don’t have that discipline yet.
      So I will weigh in and brb……lost 2lbs!! YES!
      oh and I also had 1 T of raw saltless pumpkin seeds. Ate them one at a time watching tv. So good.
      Oh I am so glad I lost. okay I am trying again today.
