<p>One can often feel the <strong>juicing benefits</strong> simply by starting to drink one juice per day.  This may include better mental clarity, and a feeling of well-being, clearer sinuses, improved digestion and elimination.  By continuing to consume juices on a regular basis, or say during a complete juice cleanse, the benefits increase.  The skin may feel softer and have an improved, younger look, the body may appear slimmer, the toxic buildup in the body can be reduce and the immune system may be stronger.</p>
<p>While these may seem like miraculous improvements, juice cleansing simply restores the body to its natural state. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The body has a built in network of cells, tissues, and organs to defend against disease and infections called the immune system. The immune system recognizes harmful substances present in viruses, bacteria, and chemicals and creates a barrier so they do not enter the body.<br />
One of the body&#8217;s first line of defense is in the white blood cells of the blood. These attack the harmful substances (antigens), help control the immune response, and &#8220;remember&#8221; the antigen to protect against it in the future.</p>
<p>The foods we eat can enhance or lower the immune system response to the antigens. Sugar and processed foods lower immune response. Natural, raw fruits and vegetables contain vitamins A, C, and E which enhance and support the production of white blood cells and work to counter act the damage from antigens. <strong>Juicing</strong> the fruits and vegetables releases these vitamins from the fiber and allow them to quickly enter the bloodstream and benefit the body.</p>
<p>Following is a list of some foods that contain the necessary vitamins to help build the immune system. Try a combination of any of these raw foods in your <strong>juicer machine</strong> to create a healthy immune building drink.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Juice cleansing works best when you make it a part of your lifestyle and daily health routine.  A routine encourages repetition, which in turn helps create habits.  A healthy lifestyle in my view, includes a regular <a href="http://myjuicecleanse.com/juicecleanse/juice-detox/">juice detox</a>.  There are also a number of other healthy practices I like to include when I&#8217;m juicing and detoxing.  These are like &#8220;cleanse boosters&#8221; that support the body and aid the healing process.</p>
<ol>
<li>Hydrotherapy &#8211; There are a number of different techniques used in hydrotherapy.  Aromatherapy baths relax the body and mind with herbs.  Saunas help the body release toxins through sweating.  Hot/cold alternating water in the shower stimulates the immune system.</li>
<li>Exercise &#8211; A light routine of exercise along with a juice cleanse helps to oxygenate the blood and lift the spirits.  Walking, yoga, and deep breathing exercises are some of the methods I prefer.</li>
<li>Herbs and supplements &#8211; Prior to and after a cleanse we can help our body&#8217;s ongoing detoxification with natural herbs and supplements.  Herbs are natural medicines.  Some can help build the immune system while others assist the colon, liver, and kidneys to remove wastes.  There are too many specifics for me to address in this post.  For more information on herbs and products that assist the digestive system I recommend you visit <a href="http://www.brendawatson.com/" target="_blank">Dr. Brenda Watson&#8217;s</a> site.  Probiotics, enzymes, and antioxidants are some of the other supplements that assist the digestive/detoxification process and Dr. Watson addresses those as well.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Green juices are promoted as being the healthiest as they contain the green vegetables such as spinach and collard greens or grasses such as wheat and alfalfa grasses.  These green foods are comprised of many nutrients that are essential to the body:</p>

<li>chlorophyll</li>
<li>enzymes</li>
<li>trace minerals</li>
</ul>
<p>Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants.  Through photosynthesis, cells containing chlorophyll absorb light from the sun and convert it into oxygen. Our blood uses the oxygen to purify itself.  Research shows that chlorophyll helps to prevent damage to DNA by carcinogens (cancer causing agents).</p>
<p>Enzymes help break down food into simpler, more easily digested compounds.  They&#8217;re catalysts that are responsible for speeding up metabolic processes (digestion for one).   The body only makes enzymes in limited supply, so the addition of enzymes from living green foods is essential.</p>
<p>Trace minerals are important to the body.  Green foods and juices offer balanced amount of minerals.  This is preferred over taking supplements.  Trace minerals also promote the production of vitamin B12.</p>
