Pumpkin Smoothie Recipes

Why is it we tend to make the holidays to hectic and complicated? Hours in the kitchen baking and preparing delicious (but heavy) meals may be tradition, but I’m all about making things simple. So this year I’ve created a couple of simple, healthy and delicious pumpkin smoothies. They really take no time at all to make and you’ll love the pumpkin pie flavors. Yum!

pearpumkinsmoothiePumpkin Pear Smoothie

Ingredients

1 pear
1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/4 c vanilla yogurt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp maple syrup
1 T water

Directions

Peel, core and chop the pear. Place all ingredients except water into blender. Blend on HIGH until smooth. Add water, one Tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. Pour into glass and serve.

Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients

1 cup almond milk
1 T chia seeds
1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 banana
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions

Pour almond milk into a small bowl or glass. Add chia seeds and stir. Let sit for two to three minutes. Place remaining ingredients into blender. Add almond milk mixture. Blend on HIGH until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes then blend on LOW for 10 seconds. Pour into glasses and serve.

Makes 2 servings.

    Have seen lots of pumpkin smoothie recipes this Fall but this is the first one I’ve seen calling for pear also. Looks great. Will have to try. Thanks!
