My Juice Cleanse

Yesterday my friend and neighbor brought me a very sweet gift, a pair of lemon and lime hand juicers.  I had never seen one before, but my friend is a professional food stylist, so she knows about all the gadgets.  The bright colors remind me of fiesta ware dishes and the fact that the juicers are mechanical and not electric harkens back to a simpler time.

I used the lemon juicer this morning to make my morning lemon juice drink.  It was so easy and satisfying and that’s how I think food preparation should always be!  Hopefully I’ll get to use this on my own lemons soon.  Our tree (my neighbor and I purchased it together) is now beginning to produce fruit and I’m so excited!
